A delegation of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan paid a visit to the headquarters of the National Authority for Quality Management in Health dedicated to the exchange of experience and institutional cooperation in the field of quality and patient safety. The foreign delegation included Dr. Timur Muratov, Vice-Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dr. Bauyrzhan Alisherovich Zhusipov, Chairman of the Medical and Pharmaceutical \u00a0Committee of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, and representatives of the National Scientific Center for Health Development.<\/p>\n
During the discussions, the activity of the National Authority for Quality Management in Health, the mechanisms and tools used in the accreditation of healthcare facilities, as well as the future system for reporting patient safety incidents for the continuous improvement of the quality of healthcare services were presented.<\/p>\n
On behalf of ANMCS, the meeting was attended by the President of the Authority, Valentin-Florin Ciocan, Dr. Sorin Ungureanu, Deputy General Director, and Gra\u021biela Iordache, Coordinator of the Project Implementation Department. The discussions were held in the presence of representatives of the Office for Quality of Care and Patient Safety in Athens, within the World Health Organization.<\/p>\n
The agenda of the meetings in Bucharest also included a visit to a healthcare facility. In this regard, the Kazakh delegation also visited the \u201cProf. Dr. Agrippa Ionescu\u201d Emergency Clinical Hospital, a Category II accredited healthcare facility.<\/p>\n
The foreign delegation held discussions with the management team led by Prof. Univ. Dr. Valeriu Gheorghi\u021b\u0103, Commander of the \u201cProf. Dr. Agrippa Ionescu\u201d Emergency Clinical Hospital.<\/p>\n
They were interested in how the hospital met accreditation standards, how it billed for health services, and how it collected patient feedback – an essential indicator in the continuous improvement of the quality of health services.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
